Founded in 2019 by two independent publicists, Suzie Cornell and Wendy Zipes Hunter, Prana PR, a boutique style agency, was born out of a working relationship when the two former DreamWorks, SKG colleagues reunited in South Florida. After several successful collaborations, Suzie and Wendy realized their combined styles and strengths would deliver big results for their clients and that working as partners was meant to be… our “prana.”

Wendy Zipes Hunter
Wendy Zipes Hunter is a seasoned public relations specialist and talent wrangler with over three decades of experience in the entertainment and lifestyle industry. Her passion lies in connecting people and projects.
Zipes Hunter spent 15 years in the marketing and public relations departments of major entertainment companies, including NBC, MGM, and Disney, and was a founding senior member of DreamWorks’ New York PR office. After serving as an entertainment editor at LIFE and Redbook magazines, she transitioned to a four-year stint at the leading celebrity booking agency, Central Talent Booking.
In that role, and later with her own company, Celebrity Concepts and Marketing, she booked celebrity cover stories and features for a wide range of magazines, including “O” The Oprah Magazine, Good Housekeeping, and CNET, as well as custom publications with vast online audiences like WebMD.
Zipes Hunter’s knack for connecting people and her versatility in public relations and talent booking led her to a new career as a producer. She was tapped by Emmy-nominated filmmakers Michelle Boyaner and Barbara Green to serve as producer and chief marketing officer for the independent documentary It’s Not A Burden: The Humor and Heartache of Raising Elderly Parents and The Letter League.
Following the 2018 Valentine’s Day mass shooting in Parkland, FL, Zipes Hunter stepped in to support her community. She worked closely with the gun control student activists as they navigated major press interviews (60 Minutes, Time, Anderson Cooper 360, CNN’s Town Hall) and prepared for the March for Our Lives in Washington, D.C. In that same year, she was a producer and chief marketing officer for Actions for Change, a food and music festival aimed at ending gun violence. Zipes Hunter also produced a photo and video exhibition in New York City, Voices of Parkland by photographer Jeff Vespa, featuring survivors of the Parkland shooting, and she curated a panel discussion moderated by The Brady Campaign to raise awareness about gun violence.
A dedicated community activist, since 2009, Zipes Hunter has been on the board of directors for Parkland Buddy Sports, a nonprofit providing fee-free sports for children and young adults with special needs, along with volunteer opportunities for typical teens. She is certified in mindfulness training, and credits daily workouts, meditation and spending time with family as the keys to a balanced life. She is the mother of three thriving young adult sons and one cute pug.
